Find your collection day

WM collects residential trash once each week under the city's contract. Use the official address lookup and collection map to find the weekday for your address.

Set out household trash

WM provides a 96-gallon cart for weekly collection. Its Texarkana service instructions give these rules:

• Put bagged household trash inside the cart.
• Close the lid. Overflow and material outside the cart may cost extra or remain uncollected.
• Place the cart at the street by 7 a.m. with its wheels against the curb.
• Leave at least three feet between the cart and cars, mailboxes, or other obstacles.
• Remove the cart from the street on the same day.

Keep restricted material out

WM excludes construction waste, vehicle parts, tires, household hazardous waste, medical waste, and electronic waste from the household cart. Check the separate guides for construction debris, electronics and recycling, and large items.

Start or change service

For new service, an extra cart, or cart repair, WM directs residents to Texarkana Water Utilities at 903-798-3800.

Report a collection problem

Use the city's Solid Waste and Recycling Requests portal for missed trash, recycling, or yard-waste pickup, a damaged cart, or another complaint. The city also lists WM at 903-794-4111 and Public Works at 903-798-3948.

Check holiday and weather changes

Texas routes normally operate on weekday holidays other than Thanksgiving and Christmas, according to the city waste page. Check that page before setout when a holiday or severe weather could change service.

Set out household trash

The city does not publish one set of container and setout instructions on its main Refuse Division page. After checking your address, confirm the rules for your assigned service by calling 870-779-4971 or 870-779-4977 before your first pickup.

Keep restricted material out

Do not add bulky items, construction debris, hazardous material, or other special waste to ordinary household trash unless your assigned service says it accepts the material. Use the site's guides for city bulk collection, construction debris, and recycling.

The city currently lists a residential refuse rate of $24.45 on its Refuse Division page. Call the Refuse Division at 870-779-4977 to confirm service, billing, and the rate for your address.
