You need the mattress carried out

1-800-GOT-JUNK?

The Texarkana mattress-removal service takes mattresses, box springs, foundations, bed frames, mattress toppers, futons, sleeper sofas, waterbeds, and air mattresses. A two-person crew can remove the item from inside and may offer same-day service. The company gives a no-obligation price after seeing the items. Call the Texarkana office at 430-278-0049 or book through the local page.

LoadUp

LoadUp's Texas-side mattress service starts at $89 and offers in-home or curbside pickup. Curbside service reduces the price by $5. The total changes when the order includes a box spring, foundation, or bed frame. The Arkansas-side service starts at $80 for junk removal; enter the pickup address and exact mattress items to get the current price before booking. LoadUp accepts the order and assigns it to an independent local contractor.

TexAr Disposal

TexAr Disposal provides full-service junk removal in Texarkana, Nash, and locations within 90 miles. Its crew loads and removes nonhazardous household items. Pricing depends on load volume and material type; no public mattress price is posted. Call 903-417-4683 for a free estimate and name the mattress size, box spring, frame, stairs, and item condition.

You can place the mattress at the curb

Texarkana, Texas

The city's monthly bulk service accepts mattresses from eligible residences. The limit is four cubic yards per month. Set approved items at the curb by 7 a.m. Monday of the scheduled bulk week. Use the city map and schedule for the service address. Call Waste Management at 903-794-4111 if the mattress is part of a larger load or if you also have a frame, adjustable base, or other heavy pieces.

Texarkana, Arkansas

The 2026 Dial-a-Truck schedule lists mattresses among accepted items. Eligible single-family homes and duplexes receive one free collection under the schedule. Call Public Works at 870-779-4971 or 870-779-4977 to schedule pickup at your address and confirm the date before putting the mattress outside.

You can haul the mattress yourself

New Boston Landfill

The New Boston Landfill accepts ordinary household waste without a disposal fee from Texarkana, Texas residents. Bring the most recent water bill and a driver's license showing the same address. The landfill is at 1030 Highway 82 West in New Boston. It is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Cover and secure the mattress during transport. Before driving to the landfill, call 903-628-6595 to confirm that your address qualifies for free disposal and ask what fee applies if it does not.

Arkansas-side self-haul

No Texarkana, Arkansas city page was found that confirms free mattress drop-off. Arkansas lists Richardson Waste II at 2934 County Road 10 in Fouke as an active solid-waste transfer station, but the listing does not publish mattress acceptance, public hours, or fees. Call 870-779-1429 before transporting a mattress there.

Donation and recycling

No confirmed local donation option

The Salvation Army's accepted-items list excludes mattresses. The local pages for Habitat Texarkana ReStore, Haven Homes, and Goodwill Arkansas do not confirm mattress acceptance. Do not take a mattress to a charity unless staff confirm in advance that they will accept it.

No dedicated local mattress recycler confirmed

No Texarkana recycling facility was found whose public information says it accepts mattresses. Paid haulers may try to donate or recycle usable material, but they do not promise to donate or recycle every mattress they collect.

Bedbugs, mold, moisture, and bodily fluids

Tell the retailer, city, landfill, or paid hauler about bedbugs, mold, wet material, bodily fluids, or other contamination before scheduling. Ask whether the mattress must be sealed in a disposal bag and where it should be placed. Do not move an infested mattress through shared halls or set it at the curb until the drop-off site or pickup service tells you how to handle it.

Prepare for removal

  1. Confirm whether the order includes the mattress, box spring, foundation, adjustable base, and bed frame.
  2. Measure doors, hallways, turns, stairs, gates, and elevators when a crew will remove it from inside.
  3. Remove sheets, protectors, pillows, and personal belongings.
  4. Keep the mattress dry until the approved pickup or drop-off time.
  5. Ask whether it must be wrapped or bagged before moving it.

You are buying a replacement

Mattresses USA

Mattresses USA says it delivers within Texarkana, assembles and sets up the purchased mattress, and removes the replaced mattress at no additional charge. The store is at 3911 North State Line Avenue. Call 903-794-6288 before ordering to confirm that the address is within the free-delivery area and whether the service includes the old box spring, foundation, frame, stairs, or an adjustable base.

Another mattress retailer

Ask about removal while placing the order, not when the delivery crew arrives. Confirm the price, number of pieces, whether the mattress and box spring both qualify, where each item must be placed, and whether stains, damage, moisture, or pests will cause the crew to refuse it.

Check first: Do not leave a mattress beside an apartment dumpster or in a shared trash area without the property manager's approval. Ordinary trash service does not automatically include mattresses.
